Welcome
Edgwarebury Cemetery
Edgwarebury Joint Burial Board manages Edgwarebury Cemetery with a commitment to dignity, respect and equal representation for all its four owning communities: the S&P Sephardi Community, West London Synagogue, Liberal Judaism and Belsize Square Synagogue.
The cemetery was established under a trust dated 25 July 1972, with the burial grounds subsequently registered at HM Land Registry. The first burial took place on 14 December 1975 in the West London Synagogue section. In December 2010, additional burial land was acquired on the east side of Clay Lane, with 1.8 acres designated for Belsize Square Synagogue and the remaining land shared equally between the other owning communities.
